Wireless Surveillance Video Streaming Solution at ISCWest
San Luis Obispo, CA (PRWEB) March 22, 2007 -- HauteSpot Networks Corporation announced today that it will be releasing the HR-IXPSXP, HR-IXPSXPi and HR-IXPSXPi-SD wireless surveillance solutions at the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas, which will be taking place at the same time as the International Security Conference (ISC) West show, also in Las Vegas.
ISCWest attendees are invited to visit the HauteSpot Networks Web Site at http://www.hautespot.net in order to receive free passes to the International Wireless Communications Expo so they can visit the HauteSpot Networks Booth 19011 and see a live demonstration of the HR-IXPSXP products and enter to win an 802.11a/b/g wireless network adapter as well.
The HR-IXPSXP is a family of wireless modular bridge/routers which are capable of providing enough bandwidth to stream flawless standard definition and high definition video, with low latency and constant delay variation at rates up to 65Mbps. As a completely modular platform, the HR-IXPSXP family allows for various radio modules to be added supporting a variety of unlicensed radio frequencies. A companion product line, the HR-IXPBXP family, for government, military and export users is also available. Indoor and outdoor enclosures are available for the systems, as well as camera back mounting systems.
A pair of HR-IXPSXP can be used to transport high quality HDTV or multi mega pixel surveillance streams over long distances and with full, bi-directional control. For instance, the HR-IXPSXP family has been tested for interoperability with a number of broadcast video encoders for 1080p resolution streams at 59.94fps, or with multi mega pixel security camera systems. Using either multicast or unicast, the streams could be sent at long distances with no packet loss.
The HR-IXPSXPi-SD represents a new advance in surveillance technology. Existing analog CCTV systems can be easily converted to digital IP security systems using the HR-IXPSXPi-SD.
The modular router with integrated encoder accepts a variety of high performance unlicensed or public safety band broadband transceivers and combines this with MPEG2 video and MPEG1 stereo audio encoders and a simple to use browser interface. Any analog camera can be directly attached to the HR-IXPSXPi-SD through either composite or S-Video connectors, as well as two channels audio. The video is then compressed and streamed using standard RTP over Unicast or Multicast which is sent out wirelessly.
The wireless signal is then received by a HR-IXPSXPi unit which is attached to a wired network, PC or IPTV set top box. The video and audio streams can then be played back using freely available software decoders, or through low cost IPTV set top boxes which can be attached to a standard definition television, VCR or DVR.
The operating range of the HR-IXPSXPi-SD is approximately 300 meters through walls, around trees or around buildings and about 2 kilometers line of sight with no obstructions, using compact antennas. Range can be extended using larger, higher gain antennas.
The compact size of the HR-IXPSXPi-SD allows it to be mounted inside standard outdoor camera housings, in NEMA enclosures, or even carried in a small camera bag, together with a standard 12VDC battery to power the unit. The entire system, including battery, weighs less than 3 lbs.
"The main surveillance application we were thinking about for the HR-IXPSXPi-SD," said Bob Ehlers, CEO of HauteSpot Networks, "is for upgrading legacy CCTV systems to IP Digital. Of course the HR-IXPSXPi-SD could also be used to place cameras anywhere using solar power, wind power, or batteries."
Optional pan-tilt-zoom control is offered through the serial port of the HR-IXPSXPi-SD using the Pelco-P/D protocol. Optional on-board mass storage is also available so the unit can be used as a digital recorder.
The HR-IXPSXP product line is available with radio modules supporting both unlicensed 900MHz, 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, as well as in the 4.9GHz public safety band. Other bands for export and government use are also available in the HR-IXPBXP product line.
Pricing for the HR-IXPSXPi starts at just $849 and the HR-IXPSXPi-SD starts at just $999. OEM branding and configuration options are also available.
